What is a Blastocyst?

A Blastocyst transfer is a technique used to maximize pregnancy and live birth rates wherein one or more matured embryos are transferred at the blastocyst. Blastocyst refers to the human embryo 5 to 6 days after fertilization. It is that stage of development that the embryo must reach before it is implanted in the uterus.
